That sounds like classic Cape Cod in early March—quiet, cold, and waiting for spring to wake everything up! What’s usually growing in your garden when the season kicks in? And what’s Kelli got going on in hers right now?
Your pictures and stories are so beautiful! 🩷 And I'm delighted about your Little Free Library! 📚I'm an avid book lover and former librarian. Sharing books is just wonderful. Everything is better with books! 😊 And cats, obviously! 😍
Oh thank you, Claudia! I love that you’re a former librarian! Starting a Little Free Library has been SUCH a joy. I’m an avid reader as well and just love connecting with my community over our latest reads!
Beautiful blooms Kelli, thanks for sharing them 🌸 Here in the high heat of summer we have alyssum, cornflowers and cosmos hopefully blooming any day. Look forward to hearing more about your book.
Beautiful post and pics Kelli! What I'm most excited about in my garden is an area where I planted at least 60 bulbs last November. They're starting to pop up and it's so much fun to see the different kinds and colors. It's a surprise because I don't remember exactly what they are. Hyacinths, daffodils, tulips... can't wait to see when they're all in bloom! :)
Lovely post, Kelli. Your garden is looking so dreamy already... I can only imagine how colorful and abundant it is going to look in a few weeks! How funny about the dahlia-- such a neat surprise! We have a resident outdoor kitty, too; it just won’t let me pet it yet, 🫠.
Honestly, not a lot! It’s still cold and grey here in the UK. I have some snowdrops brightening up the ground underneath my fruit trees and some brightly coloured primroses starting to flower too 😍
So beautiful!!! Over here in zone 5b up in the mountains we are snow covered BUT I’m seeing buds forming on our aspens and some of our other shrubs so spring is coming!
Kelli! This post may have just saved my life! As I look at my front lawn, covered in snow, I wonder about the daisies in their deep winter sleep. Your words and pictures tell me there is hope that the sun will do its work once more, in its own time. Thank you!
Oh, it’s so nice to hear things like that. We have the power to change a person’s day or feelings so why don’t we simply do it? Yes, the joy of seeing your garden in all of its Beauty really is amazing. And thank you for following my writing. I’ve been a little bit negligent as of late. I have many more stories I need to finish.
way out on the east coast on Cape Cod absolutely nothing is going on in my garden. so i am delighted to be here visiting yours, Kelli.
I hope you start to see some growth soon, Linda! Cape Cod is on my list of places to go—so beautiful!!
